This year for the Millard family fun we decided to head up to Pineview Reservoir. Greg and Julie and their family and our family were able to go up the night before and camp in the Anderson Cove campground. The rest of the family didn't make it because of a huge tanker roll over on the freeway, which backed up traffic for hours and hours. We ended up getting to the campground around 8:30 that evening and the wind was blowing and we thought that we might get rained on but, luck was with us. Sometime in the night the wind died down and when we woke up it was beautiful. The lake was pure glass! We got on the lake and started doing some skiing on the nice water which was a good thing because around 11:00 am the wind turned on and didn't turn back off until about 5 that evening. Despite the wind, we had a great time skiing, tubing and wakeboarding. We even got Scott up on a slalom ski. We (especially Scott and Greg M.) were really worn out, so I would say that we definitely maxed out on fun. (Thanks Doug and Carol Ann for letting us borrow the boat!) 7/30/08

Halley Stitches
Today our family and Greg and Julies family went up North Canyon park to have a little hotdog roast and pick some raspberries and go on a little hike. Well, the raspberries weren't ready so we didn't get to pick them, but the hotdogs were good. We were just getting ready to go on a hike when Halley fell down and cut her hand open on a piece of glass. So instead of going on our hike we went to the instacare to get Halley's hand stiched up. I was disappointed however with the poor treatment that Halley got. The poor girl didn't get numbed up enough so she felt the stitches as they were going in, she was trying to be brave but it hurt and she cried. They only put 2 stitches in and she needed 4 or 5 - I think because she was crying so they didn't want to do more...(Sadest part is that we told her that it wouldn't hurt at all and make it feel better, so she was really disappointed and told us that we lied to her because it hurt to get stitches, errrrrr!!!) So other then them not giving Halley a tetanus shot, and not numbing her hand up right, only putting in 2 stitches, (which they popped on in about 3 days) it was a great experience! Happy Birthday Halley
Happy Birthday Halley!!! Halley finally turned 5 (she seems like she has been five for a few months now). I can hardly believe that we have a 5 year old. All I can say is that time really flies. The kids are just growing up so fast it makes me sad. We had a Laua birthday party for Halley and I think a good time was had by all. Halley invited her cousins and some of her good friends. We played a lot of fun games, pin the lai on the hula girl, coconut bowling, getting water from one bucket to another, plus there was hula dancing and sandcastle building... I think that it all went really well and it turned out great. (Thanks Cami for all your help, I couldn't have done it without you!) And thanks all for coming! Happy Birthday Halley, we love you!
