Girls Weekend Out!!!

I don't even know where to begin!!! I mean a picture is worth a thousand words right! Me and my sis in laws went on a fabulous get away to sunny St. George. Ok, it might not have been the warmest weekend but it was sunny and nice. We had a good time just being together and being GIRLS and not mom's for a whole weekend. We did lots of...

1- shopping (almost every store in the St. George Valley)

2- eating (lots of snacks, breakfast around 1pm and dinner around 9pm)

3- exercising (walking hills, hiking)

4- getting pampered (massages)

5- strolling down memory lane (old highschool yearbooks)

6- dressing like diva's (loved the beautiful flower sequinn dress and sweet mullet wig, Adrien)

7- laughing our guts out!!!

I just don't think a girls weekend can get much better than this!!!!! Thanks to all the hubby's for letting us go, you are the best!!! (3/5-3/8)

Now it is March!!!

Well, yet another month has come and gone and I am still thinking to myself where does the time go. I have had another busy month. I haven't been painting this time, but I have been busy trying to get all organized and I am almost there. Greg built a closet organizer in my room!!! Hallelujah!!! Now my room is finally clean! You can see the floor and the dresser and even under the bed is nice and clean. What a great feeling!!! (I do need to put in a plug for my great assistant!!! My sister in law Brooke has been helping my get organized, because I learned that I just can't do it by myself, it is too overwhelming. So I have Brooke come over and we get stuff nice and organized and it is great, and nice to have someone to talk to while I work away! So thanks Brooke, I couldn't do it without you...) After I got my room done, I moved to the coat closet. Greg put in a nice organizer in there, so now I have lots of room to keep all my stuff and have it organized. Seriously the best feeling! I am hoping to have the top floor all done and organized by the time the baby comes, so I have to keep plugging away I still have so much to do. Next I am hoping to move to the hall closet and just get that cleaned out and organized and then move on to the kitchen... Oh, I can't even imagine having a nice CLEAN, ORGANIZED house. I don't know what I will even do. I know most of you are already there, but I am not, so this is really exciting for me... The kids are all doing well, and ready for spring to arrive! On the warm and sunny days they play outside most of the time and it is great. Paige is getting ready for her birthday and she asks me about every day if she is 3 yet. Halley is enjoying Kindergarten and doing well with reading and all that stuff. She is a little bit of a day dreamer and in her own world a lot, but she loves to gigle and she enjoys life and is my social butterfly. Cole is flying through First grade. He is doing some advanced classes during the day and is loving having a bit more of a challenge. Greg is busy at work. Bidding, Bidding, and Bidding more jobs. But, the good thing is it is good job security. And as for me, just doing the usual day to day stuff, growing bigger by the day, and getting my house organized as mentioned above.

Bye Bye January!!!

January has come and gone and can I just say that I am so glad. I have had a busy month to say the least, but I am feeling so fulfilled to have gotten so much accomplished for the worst month of the year!!! What have I been doing you ask, well, let me tell you! I decided that it was well past time to get my house under control so that I can actually stand to live here and maybe even enjoy this little home of ours. Since finding out that we are having yet another girl, which is great, I decided that it was time to move Cole out of the big room that he's in and move the girls in there. So, with my major nesting bug (or so everyone says I'm nesting) I decided to paint the girls room (Chocolate Brown and Pink) then I had Greg build me some closet organizers so that I can finally get some organization around here! It turned out super cute and now I have just oodles of space and I love it. I even made room for the new baby in there! So, with doing all of that, I needed to make Cole a new room and so that is what I did. I decided to paint Cole's room tan and red. Let me tell you how fun it is to paint red when no ones bothers to tell you how to do it right the first time around. I put on the first coat of red (over my yellow paint) and it looked horrible!!! I mean bad, but I thought OK, the second coat will look better. So I painted the second coat and that only looked slightly better... so on the the third coat it looked a little bit better... but I thought it for sure needed another coat and MAYBE just maybe it might turn out. Fourth coat, it looked decent but still not quite as good as I would have liked. So, at this point, I decided that it was time to start over and do it right. First a word of advise for all of you who are going to paint a red wall. START with Grey Primer on your wall!!!!!!!!! This makes the red paint coat like it should the first time around. Then the second/seventh coat goes on GREAT!!! I could have saved myself 4 coats, so 7 coats later Cole's room is finally done (except for the touch up that now needs to be done on the trim), but I think that it turned out really cute. I also had Greg build me a closet organizer in his room which allowed me to take out a dresser from his room so all he has in there is a book shelf and bed. It is so nice having some space and to actually have a place for everything. I almost don't know what to do! Almost!!!!!! It was so great to keep myself busy to help me not get the winter blues... Now February is here and it is almost spring like weather today, nice and sunny and kind of warm. Gotta love that... Here are some pictures, I don't have all the decorating all done in the rooms, but you get the general idea of how cute it will be!

Merry Christmas!!!!

Merry Christmas 2008!!! Another year has come and gone but what a wonderful year it has been!!! Life is and always keeps us plenty busy. Cole and Halley are both in school this year and loving it. Cole loves first grade and is enjoying reading and math and going full days. Halley is liking Kindergarten and likes having short days so she can still get lots of playing in. She is doing great at reading and is our social butterfly. Paige is at home with me every day and we have a great time. We have become great little buddies!!! Paige looks forward to next year when she can start going to preschool like her siblings!!! We are going to add a little girl to our family next May. The kids are very excited, although, they really thought we were going to have a little brother, but when we found she was a girl, they were OK with it. Every once in a while Cole will say he wishes he were having a brother, or once he even told us that he was going to go and live with his cousins where they have all brothers!!! Pretty funny, but I know they are all really excited to have a new addition to our family. Greg is keeping busy at work. Thankfully!!! And I am always busy at home doing something... So all and all this past year has been great we have been blessed with so much and thank our lucky stars for all that we have. So from our family to yours... Merry Christmas!!!!!!!The Girls Christmas Morning before opening presents!

Cole Christmas morning before presents!

Finally getting to open presents!!!

Christmas Eve at Grandma Nita's in new Christmas pj's!

Grandma had Samuel the Lamanite prophesy about the birth of Jesus Christ, and the Lamanites were throwing stones (marshmellows) at Samuel up on the wall (Trent up on the back of the couch).

Happy Birthday Cole!!!!

Wow, I have a 7 year old... Where does the time go??? It seems like only yesterday that I was in the hospital having him, and now he is 7!!!! This year for Coles birthday I got to go to his school and help out with the Christmas party in his class. We did some fun activities and then Cole's teacher had a little birthday book bound that the kids in the class got to wish for him something for his birthday!!! Cole loved it and loves to look at the book. Then he got to pass out treats to his class. It was kind of a crazy school day with the class party and Santa coming to his class room and having to do birthday celebrations, but I think it turned out great. After school he came home and we waited for Greg to get home from work so that he could open his presents. Cole is really into Star wars, so he chose to do a star wars theme and got some cool Star wars presents and a super awesome cake. (Greg did get off a little early.) Then Cole got to have a sleepover with his Aunt and cousin. I think he had a really great time. The birthday didn't end there. Then on Saturday he got to go sledding and then to wrap things all up, on Sunday we had cake and ice cream with the family (thank you Adrien for the awesome Darthvador cake) and did our last little birthday celebrations!!! It was a long three days if you ask me, but it was a lot of fun... (12-19-08)

Cole's Christmas Program!

The First grade at Cole's school put on a super cute Christmas program with cute songs and little parts!!! Cole was assigned a little part, "With bright colored packages, and Holiday Cheer!" He was so cute. He sat on the front row and was sandwiched in between all the kids!!! But, he looked cute and did a great job at his program and learned lots of new Christmas songs. After Cole's program we got to go back to his class room and see the cute gingerbread house that he made and then take him home with us.!!! Great job Cole, being the great picture takers that we are, these are the only picutes that we got.(12-17-08) (Coles is in the red and blue striped sweater by the silver pole.)
